After Suri, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, dropped her father's family name, another celebrity kid also wants to drop hers, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, the daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

As she enters the age of 18 and officially becomes a legal adult, Shiloh has filed paperwork to officially drop "Pitt" from her surname and only be called Shiloh Jolie. This is unlike Suri, who is still officially named Suri Cruise and has only dropped her father's name when named in productions.

TMZ managed to get its hands on a copy of the document where the celebrity child requested the government to drop her father's surname from hers. The document was filed on May 27, Memorial Day, which also happened to be her 18th birthday. This meant that her first act as an adult was to officially drop Brad Pitt's name and just be Shiloh Jolie.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are currently in the middle of an ugly divorce battle in court. It was first filed in 2016 and has been dragging on to this day and it has already put a strain on the celebrities' relationship with their children, especially between Brad and Shiloh.

It was noted that the request from Shiloh has not been granted yet, so the name change has is still not official for now. However, it would only be a matter of time before it does and she may also only be the first among Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children to do so, as many more are expected to follow their sister.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's Children Are Also Refusing To Be Called 'Pitt,' Not Just Shiloh

The ugliness of the divorce battle between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie is reflected in the former's relationship with his children as they have been opting to not use the Pitt name whenever they introduce themselves to the public.

Shiloh's older sister, 19-year-old Zahara Jolie, is also not using Pitt in her name these days. The former couple's other children, including Maddox, who is now 22, also does not use the "Pitt" name. For now, it is only Shiloh who has officially dropped her father's name from the former couple's six kids.

Fifteen-year-old Vivienne, who has started her acting career, is only listed as Vivienne Jolie when she worked in a Broadway musical that was produced by her mother. She was her mother's production assistant.

Brad Pitt Still Trying To Have a Better Relationship With His Children With Angelina Jolie

Despite his kids dropping his name, PEOPLE Magazine reported that he is still trying to make good with them. Back in 2022, a source told the magazine that the divorce battle has become a "sad situation for years."

"Since Angelina filed for divorce, Brad has been focused on having the best relationship possible with his kids," said the Brad Pitt insider. "It's been very difficult for him. Many times, there have been long gaps where he didn't see the kids at all."
