The Boys Season 4 Triggers Conservatives Who Now Realize Show Had Been Making Fun of Them All Along
Conservatives and anti-woke critics are now only beginning to realize that Amazon's satirical superhero series, "The Boys," is making fun of them, and many are showing how triggered they are on social media. This comes as the creators of the show confirmed that the series has always been a satirical critique of the right-wing movement.
So far, the anti-woke crowd of triggered conservatives have mostly been complaining that the show has "gone woke" in season 4. However, the creators have pointed out that "The Boys" has always been that way and that they have only realized it just now, with the main villain, Homelander, largely being based on Donald Trump the show. It comes as no surprise that a lot of Trump supporters idolize the supervillain who is passing off as a superhero.
With the latest episodes, conservatives have gone on to review-bomb "The Boys" as they complained that the new characters and certain elements of the plot are turning their beloved series "woke." On Rotten Tomatoes, the series has been praised by critics with a 95% critics score. However, thanks to the conservative review-bombing, its audience score stands at just 51%.
Some users also accused the show of pushing an anti-Trump message despite creators long maintaining that its primary antagonist is really based on the convicted felon and former president. Other conservatives were also triggered when it was revealed that a primary character, Frenchie, was gay and the reveal of a new character, Sister Sage, a Black woman, according to Forbes.
Signs That 'The Boys' Has Always Been Political Was All Over the Series
Before this new season, the show demonstrated the growing radicalization of Stormfront, played by Aya Cash, as well as Homelander's followers. This was to show how quickly Donald Trump radicalized many of his followers.

As The Mary Sue pointed out, the parallels between Trump and Homelander are hard to miss, as the main antagonist's supporters are also willing to commit physical violence in his name, much like what Trump supporters did on January 6, as well as the attack on Nancy Pelosi's home in California.
It was also pointed out that the show also pokes fun at the left. While Homelander supporters parallel the MAGA movement, Starlighters, on the other hand, are unmistakably Liberals. The show makes this abundantly clear when the conspiracy theories about Starlight being a pedophile in a secret Satanic cabal pop up. Some conservatives realized this early on and were also triggered.
'The Boys' Showrunner Pushes Back Against Conservatives Getting Triggered
As conservatives get triggered for realizing that the show they love has actually been woke all along, creator Eric Kripke tells fans that if they have a problem with it, they should "go watch something else."
Comicbook Resources noted that the entire premise of "The Boys" has always been replicating real-world happenings, with a team of vigilantes fighting against superpowered individuals who abuse their power and are backed by a big corporation, with Kripke adding, "The news is accurately reflecting whatever we're talking about," each season.
