Brook Lopez's NBA career

After two years at Stanford, Lopez was selected 10th overall by the New Jersey Nets in the 2008 NBA Draft and signed a two-year, $4.35 million contract, says ClutchPoints.

He had a strong rookie season, averaging 13.0 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game, and was named to the All-Rookie First Team.

His performance improved in his second season, leading to a contract extension that kept him with the team until the 2011-12 season.

The team moved to Brooklyn and became the Brooklyn Nets in 2012.

Lopez signed a new four-year, $60.8 million deal and had his best season, averaging 19.4 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game, making his first All-Star appearance.

He helped the Nets reach the playoffs consistently until 2015, despite missing most of the 2013-14 season due to injury.

Adapting to injury concerns, Lopez became a stretch center, increasing his three-point shooting from the 2014-15 season onward and signed a three-year, $60 million contract.

In the 2016-17 season, he averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 35 percent from three-point range, marking his final season with the Nets.

After leaving the Nets, Lopez joined the Lakers for a season, averaging 13.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game, shooting 35 percent from three-point range.

He then signed with the Milwaukee Bucks for $3.3 million and quickly became a key player, averaging 12.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game in his first season.

Impressed, the Bucks signed him to a $52 million, four-year contract.

In subsequent seasons, Lopez maintained his strong performance, earning spots on the All-Defensive Teams and contributing significantly to the Bucks' 2021 championship win.
