Argentina is the World Cup champion and is considered the best national team in soccer right now. However, rapper Drake thought Canada could beat them in the Copa America semi-final. Big mistake.

Before the big match, Drake, a Canadian and avid supporter of Canadian sports teams, made a massive $300,000 bet for underdog Canada to defeat the Lionel Messi-led World Cup champion Argentina in the Copa America semi-final match, with Drake writing on his Instagram Stories before the game, "This could get Messi."

If Canada won that match, USA Today noted that the "Nice For What" rapper would have won $2.88 million on his $300,000 bet on his home country, which was the severe underdog against Argentina. Instead, Canada lost the game 2-0 and Argentina just trolled him.

Drake recently made headlines for his beef against American rapper Kendrick Lamar. Many have said that Lamar won their feud emphatically with his viral hit, "Not Like Us." Argentina just played that Drake diss track on its Instagram following its 2-0 demolition of Canada.

On X, formerly Twitter, the Argentina national team continued its savaging of the Canadian rapper by posting a photo of the winning team with the words, "Not Like Us" and the caption, "Not like us, not with us," which is clearly a reference to Kendrick Lamar's diss track against Drake.

"Drake really been losing in all areas lately clearly 'Not Like Us' and Not with Us after losing $300k," one Twitter user quipped, while another replied. "Drake bet against Argentina and the admin is subbing Canada with Kendrick Lamar's song!"

Lionel Messi Drove Dagger Into Drake With Argentina's 2-0 Copa America Win Over Canada

Coming into the Copa America tournament, Canada was not even in the running to make it out of the group stage, let alone the Semi-Final, with the team being the biggest surprise of the tournament so far and the only North American team left after favorites USA and Mexico were surprisingly eliminated during the group stage.

This may have led Drake to believe much in his team that they could beat the world champs just south of their border. However, betting against Lionel Messi has once again proven to be a bad idea as it was "La Pulga" himself that drove the final nail to the coffin of Canada's chances to win the Copa America.

Canada was already trailing by a goal when the Argentina captain scored the goal and secured Argentina's fourth Copa America final in five editions, per ESPN. The country already has 15 Copa America titles under its belt.

Argentina Vs. Colombia in Copa America Final

After dispatching Canada, Argentina faces Colombia in the Copa America final next. The Colombians defeated red-hot Uruguay and denied the Suarez vs. Messi final many had been hoping for.

Colombia is led by James Rodriguez, and the two teams will battle it out at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. However, given that Messi plays for Inter Miami, this may lead to a home advantage for Argentina.

However, according to Billboard, Shakira will be performing at the halftime show and she will definitely be rooting for her home country of Colombia in the final and give her countrymen a boost.
