This weekend, the Mexican Consulate in Houston became a vibrant hub of celebration, shining a spotlight on one of regional Mexican music's brightest stars: Ángela Aguilar. The consulate is now home to a unique exhibit showcasing the singer's remarkable career through a collection of her most iconic costumes.

The exhibit, open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., invites visitors to embark on an immersive journey through Aguilar's career. Attendees will find themselves surrounded by a curated selection of dresses that have marked significant milestones in Aguilar's rise to stardom. Each piece is enhanced with QR codes that offer a deeper dive into the stories behind these memorable outfits.

Among the standout pieces on display is the black and white "La Chancla" dress, a nod to Aguilar's debut at just 9 years old. Visitors will also be able to see the striking red dress inspired by "Gone with the Wind," which Aguilar wore in the music video for "Dime Cómo Quieres," her record-breaking duet with Christian Nodal. The exhibit also features the elegant black dress with colorful floral accents from the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards, highlighting her early industry impact and nominations for Best New Artist and Best Ranchera/Mariachi Music Album.

The centerpiece of the exhibit is the rebozo dress from the 2024 Premios Lo Nuestro, where Aguilar performed "Qué Agonía" with Yuridia. This dress symbolizes Aguilar's triumph with the "Best Mariachi Ranchera Song" award, marking a decade of success in her career.
