For many, especially for new generations, the image seems unprecedented and actually dates back more than 30 years. However, curious social media users found details that made them question whether it was generated by artificial intelligence.
Amid the doubts, user @ro.ogaz clarified that the image is real but was processed through artificial intelligence to restore it.
What's striking is that upon close inspection, Luis Miguel's ear is partially cut off due to the AI, and his face looks odd at the cheek level.
Despite the oddities, other users loved the photo and were surprised by how youthful the artist looks, who is now 54 years old.
Lucía Méndez and Luis Miguel and 'Fría Como El Viento'
The fact that Lucía Méndez emerged as one of the most recognized and sought-after actresses of the '70s and '80s in Mexico, led to figures like Luis Miguel admiring her image and beauty, so it was no surprise when the media romantically linked them.
At that time, in the late '80s, the romance between Méndez and Luis Miguel remained hidden until recently, during the podcast "Pinky Promise," where the actress confirmed the relationship lasted about six months, including one intense night they spent together in Miami.
Fondly, Méndez recalled being in Florida for work commitments when Luis Miguel showed up unannounced at her hotel room door with a bottle of champagne, which led to everything that followed.
"When I went to Miami to sing, he knocked on the hotel door, arrived in a tuxedo and with a bottle of champagne [...] He came in, and I don't know what happened, because suddenly I had a glass and got very drunk, and the next day, I woke up next to him and said: 'Oh, wow,'" she explained.
The incident didn't end well for either of them, as in the morning, Méndez sent him away from the room, and they didn’t speak for a while until they ran into each other again. There, Luis Miguel vented, explaining how frustrated he felt about not being reciprocated.
Méndez attributed the situation to being in love with Pedro Torres, whom she describes as "the love of her life" in the book "Por Debajo de la Mesa" by journalist Alberto Ravira. In the pages, she also shares that once the relationship ended, Luis Miguel composed "Fría como el Viento."
"Well, yes, I stood him up, I mean, I was cold as the wind, but I fell in love with Pedro Torres, what can I do. (...) It was a fun relationship. It was a relationship out of time because I was older than him. When I left him, he composed 'Fría como el Viento' mysterious as the sea; the truth is, I love Mickey dearly," she commented. In the publication, we talk about Méndez’s "alleged" statements because, so far, there is only one side of the story, while Luis Miguel has remained silent. Will the singer ever dare to tell his version?
