Delia Deetz, the famous character from Tim Burton's 'Beetlejuice,' has returned from the beyond to become the host of a very special experience in the iconic Deetz family residence, located in Hillsborough, New Jersey.
Thanks to a collaboration with Airbnb, fans of 'Beetlejuice' now have the chance to step into Delia's peculiar world, filled with eccentric art, ghostly memories, and portals to the underworld. Perfect for celebrating Halloween, right?
This experience, which caters to both die-hard fans of the movie and those seeking a unique adventure, allows guests to explore the Deetz house, the central setting of the movie's supernatural events.
Upon arrival, visitors are welcomed by Delia's loyal assistant, who guides them through the nooks and crannies of the house. Guests can freely roam the space, admiring the eccentric art that Delia created during her lifetime.
One of the main highlights of the visit is the chance to explore the mysterious attic. In this space, fans can view the famous model of Winter River, the small town where the movies are set. However, there's a warning: if visitors choose to utter the forbidden name, they shouldn't be surprised if they are transported directly to the afterlife.
Those brave enough to say the name three times will find themselves in the waiting room for the recently deceased, a recreation of one of the film's most iconic locations. From there, the adventure continues through disorienting hallways and mysterious doors hiding "terrifying" surprises, such as giant sandworms or Dante's Inferno Club from the movie.
But not everything is spooky.
Delia Deetz, known for her passion for art, has prepared a special class for guests. In this activity, participants can unleash their fears and anxieties through creativity in an unconventional class designed for fans to express their emotions, all in Delia's signature eccentric style.
The experience does not include an overnight stay at the house due to "recent spiritual issues," but Airbnb has arranged an alternative: visitors will be transported to a nearby hotel in Princeton, New Jersey, where they can rest after their spectral adventure.
Details of the experience and how to book
Art enthusiasts, ghost hunters, and fans of 'Beetlejuice' can request one of the ten available sessions between October 23 and November 4. Each session lasts three hours and allows entry for up to six people.
To book, you must be over 18, and companions must be at least 13 years old. All attendees will be responsible for their own transportation to and from Hillsborough Township, New Jersey.
Additionally, guests who manage to book this experience will also receive a complimentary overnight stay in an Airbnb property in nearby Princeton. However, transportation between the two locations will also be the responsibility of the visitors.
With the overwhelming box-office success of 'Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,' the opportunity to visit the Deetz house and immerse yourself in Delia's quirky world is the perfect way to continue celebrating this classic film and its recent sequel.
