Hollywood actors Zac Efron, Channing Tatum and Ben Stiller have signed up to venture into the wilderness with British adventurer Edward Michael "Bear" Grylls as part of NBC's new reality series, "Running Wild with Bear Grylls."

The A-listers will be taken to "the wildest and most remote locations in the U.S. and around the world," far from their luxury lifestyles, for 48 hours with host Grylls, best known for his survival television series, "Man vs. Wild."

The actors will face a series of challenges, such as climbing cliffs, abseiling and eating bugs.

"This summer, they're not in Hollywood anymore," a voice-over says in one promotional video. Another adds, "For these celebrities, one adventure with him will show them who they really are."

In one of the upcoming show's previews, "Neighbors" star Efron is seen bravely trying to eat a bug, and "Zoolander" actor Stiller screams "This is insane!" while waiting to jump from an aircraft.

Other famous faces include actor/comedian Tom Arnold, NBC News correspondent Tamron Hall and former NFL player Deion Sanders. They will all be taking part in the challenges.

"21 Jump Street" hottie Tatum took to his Instagram account Thursday to post a photo of himself posing with the survival expert.

"Here's your first look at #ChanningTatum filming 'Running Wild with @RealBearGrylls,' courtesy of the adventure man himself!" he wrote in the caption.

"'Running Wild' allows viewers to see inside the hearts and minds of these guests in a very open, honest and vulnerable way, pushing them out of their comfort zones and seeing what they are like in real life when stripped of all the benefits of celebrity," Grylls said in a news release.

"Running Wild with Bear Grylls" features six episodes and is set to kick off at 8 p.m. July 28 on NBC.
