J.K. Rowling has released a new "Harry Potter" story, which follows Harry Potter attending the Quidditch World Cup.

The new story was released on July 8, and it features the Harry Potter and his friends in their mid-30s, Business Insider noted. The story is told in a form of an article by gossip columnist Rita Skeeter, and it is only available on Rowling's Pottermore website. It follows the main characters after the epilogue found in "Deathly Hallows."

In this new story, Potter is an auror who fights dark wizards. His hair is starting to turn gray, but he's still wearing his round glasses. He's also sporting a cut on his cheek, and his wife, Ginny Weasley, is at the Quidditch World Cup for work. She is reporting for the Daily Prophet.

Ron Weasley no longer works as an auror. He is helping run the Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes prank shop, which was started by his twin brothers. Rita Skeeter also mentions that his red hair is "thinning slightly."

True to the Hermione Granger spirit, she continues to excel in her career. She is the deputy head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, and she has a bright future ahead of her. She is still expected to get a more prominent position, according to Business Insider.

Neville Longbottom is a herbology teacher at Hogwarts and described as "popular." His wife, Hannah Abbott, is a Healer, who is applying for the job of Matron at Hogwarts.

Fans of Luna Lovegood will be glad to know that she is still "delightfully eccentric."

After springing this surprise on Potter fans, the Pottermore site was on "absolute overload," MTV noted.

And before fans get their hopes up, a spokesperson for J.K. Rowling told TheBookSeller.com that she has "no plans" to write more stories about adult Harry Potter.
