Both Dwight Howard and Jeremy Lin have said they're excited about being teammates. Now they're ready to work together.

The pair of basketball stars will be entering their first season together as teammates on the Rockets, and with the addition of Howard the team has improved dramatically. Lin is entering his second season with the team while Howard is coming off a tumultuous and controversial ending to his tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers, which led to his eventual departure. He signed with the Rockets in July.

Lin was in China for a basketball camp this past weekend when he talked to reporters about his future on the same court as Howard. He expressed his anticipation and excitement.

"... I hope we can work really well together and really happily learn how to play with each other," he said to the Associated Press.

Lin was the topic of trade rumors earlier in the summer as fans began to wonder how he would fit into the new system. It wasn't long, however, until general manager Daryl Morey all but reassured his star that he plans on keeping him in Houston. Morey even took to a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" to give Lin a vote of confidence amongst the fans.

With all that said, Lin is still takings things one step at a time when it comes to his future with Houston.

"Right now I know there's always speculation about what might happen, but I haven't made any decisions," Lin said. I haven't thought about it, and I'm going to approach that question when the time comes."

Lin recently opened up about his first season with the Rockets and how he felt the pressure to live up to the "Linsanity" name. He said it eventually affected his game and that the coaches started to "lose faith" in him.

Lin signed a 3-year, $25 million contract prior to last season.
