Joan Rivers got a taste of her own medicine on "The Late Show with David Letterman" on Tuesday.

Similar to Rivers' exit off the CNN set Saturday, Letterman jokingly walked off his set during his interview with her.

Rivers, who laughed at Letterman's dramatic exit, was then forced to finish off "The Late Show" interview by herself.

"I'll just take over. I'll talk to me," Rivers exclaimed.

The 81-year-old comedian then began interviewing herself.

"How's your sex life, you old b----?" Rivers asked herself while Letterman remained offstage. "Thank you for asking. My vagina is so dry." "How dry is your vagina?" "I took a bath and all the water went whoosh."

Though the intent behind Letterman's walkout was all fun and jokes, Rivers' CNN exit was more serious.

While speaking with Access Hollywood on Tuesday, Rivers defended her decision to walk out on her interview with CNN anchor Fredricka Whitfield.

Rivers got frustrated in the CNN interview because she felt it quickly turned into an interrogation.

"You've gotta understand -- when you interview someone, it's not an interrogation. It's not the Nuremberg Trials," she explained on Access Hollywood. "And [Fredricka] was going at me, like ... 'Why do you say this?' and 'Why do you say that?'"

Rivers continued, "I'm sorry for her, because I think she should not have been doing a comedy interview. I really did get mad."

During the CNN interview, Whitfield mentioned Rivers' use of shock value with her controversial jokes. Whitfield even suggested that Rivers' jokes may hurt people's feelings.

Though Rivers was clearly angry and frustrated in the interview, the "Fashion Police" host shocked Whitfield and CNN viewers when she ended the interview early.

"I thought she was joking the whole time," Whitfield said after the interview. "But in the end, we wondered, 'Was this a stunt?' Well, Rivers didn't return to the interview, but off-camera, she kept her microphone on as she continued to talk and drop some rather unflattering four-letter words. So yeah she was serious."
