"Glee" will be saying farewell in season six, and it will be a brief signoff.

The show, which usually starts filming in July, won't start until Sept. 1, according to assistant editor Matthew Smith.

"What up Twitter industry folks," he said, according to International Business Times. "I'm available for work between July 15 and September 1st. Maybe hire me for something?"

Bryan Capri echoed his sentiments, saying, "damn! That's too bad... I just found out today. Thought I was starting way sooner. TV schedules..."

Last year, the show also started filming late after Cory Monteith died.

The show usually has 22 episodes, but Matthew Morrison has confirmed to Journal Now that the season had been shortened.

"Next year we're doing 13 episodes," Morrison said. "We're coming to our last season. I'm incredibly proud of the ride that it's taken us all on. It dealt with sensitive issues that adults and young people go through. I'm very proud to have been part of a show like that."

Morrison added that Cory Monteith was such an important part on the show.

"He was a huge part of the show, and he really connected with a lot of people," he said. "And, for me, watching him grow on the show was gratifying. He grew more than any other person on the show."

Recently, it was revealed that Naya Rivera would be returning to the final season, but she won't be a series regular.

According to HollywoodLife.com, things are not going well between Lea Michele and Rivera. A source told the site that Ryan Murphy tried to give them each some space, and while they aren't actively upset at each other, there are still not good feelings between the two.

"Ryan didn't want the drama to overshadow the final year of the show and they agreed," the source adds. "Ryan played the 'Do it for the cast' and 'Do it for Cory [Monteith]' card and that is what worked and got Naya back in the fold. As for Lea and Naya sharing screen time, for the most part, they will not share many scenes together but it will be impossible to totally go cold turkey. They will work together again and they both promised they would be professional when that time comes."
