Prior to the announcement of her departure from "The View," Jenny McCarthy revealed to New You Magazine that she had envisioned herself working on the daytime talk show for 20 more years.

"Believe it or not, I think I'm still on 'The View,'" she said. "I love the show. I'm doing so much work to improve myself -- signing up for critical thinking courses and doing all my media training. I want to be at the top of my game, and when I'm 60, I want to still have a face that moves. I want to have beautiful, healthy grandkids and still have Donnie (Wahlberg) be the hunky love of my life."

But now that she's leaving, McCarthy is talking about "The View's" decision to re-hire Rosie O'Donnell as a co-host.

While McCarthy was hosting an event in Las Vegas on Friday, Us Magazine reported that she expressed her admiration for O'Donnell, who she feels will bring "some heat" to the show.

"I love Rosie. I have been a fan of hers forever," she said. "I knew they were looking to bring some heat to the table, and there is no doubt that [with] Rosie there will be some heat. They are definitely going in the direction of fire."

McCarthy also revealed that she will still be tuning in to the show after she leaves.

"It's going to be some exciting television," she said. "I will be there with my beer and popcorn at 11 in the morning. I can't wait to see how it plays out."

Though McCarthy's love for "The View" remains strong, she announced Monday during a taping of the show that she was leaving in pursuit of another job opportunity.

"After much consideration, I've taken a new job that will allow me to do what I do best, which is talk without having to interrupt anyone," she said to the studio audience Monday. "I will be announcing it in the next few weeks, and I couldn't be more grateful. Stay tuned, even if it does compete with 'The View.'"
