Selena Gomez stands up for herself against online bullying -- the "Come & Get It" singer calls out a fan on Instagram for leaving a comment about cancer.

Although the original comment has been deleted along with the user's account (Official.Kerry), the fan reportedly wrote on one of Gomez's photos saying that she should "burn in hell with cancer." The 21-year-old pop star immediately slammed the rude behavior by taking a screenshot of what she wrote to the user and posting it as a separate image on her own social media account.

"The comment you left about cancer was absurd. How distasteful of young woman," Gomez began her bold statement on Saturday, July 12. "I have gone through that battle with fans and family members. You can dislike someone but to wish something that could happen to you or your family is uncalled for sweetheart."

"You won't be winning 'anyone's' heart that way. Trust me. Educate yourself a tad more," she added before giving her words of encouragement, "God bless love. Be an amazing woman. You're beautiful."

In her following caption, Gomez also explained why she had to respond to the fan's previous comment. "Honestly, I don't speak up much because it's simply always taken out of context. But I don't take bullying well. I have seen too much to not say anything."

Recently, the "Fly to Your Heart" singer also posted a cryptic message seemingly targeting her on-and-off again boyfriend Justin Bieber after he was seen getting intimate with his alleged new flame Yovanna Ventura on Instagram.

Gomez shared her "valuable" lesson learned from dating Bieber with her 10 million followers: "The moment you compare yourself [to another woman], it weakens you, and I'm not here for that. Once you know that reality [and] claim your space, your life becomes easier."
