"Weird Al" Yankovic, dubbed as the king of pop culture parody, returns with a brand new album with eight new music videos poking fun at different artists including Miley Cyrus, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Iggy Azalea, CBC reports. The album "Mandatory Fun" was released on Tuesday as his 14th studio album. It is also the first record he has released after more than three years. According to him, it could be his last album ever.

The 54-year-old Yankovic explained his plan of creating a "big splash" by releasing the eight music videos within eight days from the record's release -- that's one music video a day for eight straight days. He continued by saying that he wanted the first week to be big, where the first video would go viral and people would talk about it, and then they get to talk about a new video for each of the next days.

So far it looks like his plan is working. Salon premiered his first video on Monday, entitled "Tacky." It was a star-studded parody of "Happy" by Pharrell, which included several Hollywood big names like Jack Black, Aisha Tyler, Eric Stonestreet, and Margaret Cho. The next day he released "Word Crimes," which parodied Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines" as a grammar-themed spoof for the #8videos8days project.

His success was not limited to the number of views, shares, or likes online as the overwhelming positive reception also included his fans rushing to record stores to buy the new album.

Other songs featured in the album include tracks on "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen, "Royals" by Lorde, "Thrift Shop" by Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk among others.

According to him, he tries to make his parodies a little different from the current parodies that dwell on the obvious. Yankovic will be releasing new videos every day until Monday, July 28 on his website weirdal.com.
