Call of Duty Advanced Warfare Gameplay & Release Date 2014: Female Soldiers Available in Multiplayer Mode
The next Call of Duty game is getting closer to its release, and even more details are surfacing about the game. With the game set for a release in November, let's preview the game.
Right away, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare gamers will jump into the future, 40 years from today. It's a realistic jump, and the game creators didn't go overboard while fast-forwarding into the future.
The weaponry and capabilities of the soldiers will be futuristic. Players will be able to take advantage of special exoskeletons to provide them with special in-game advantages, such as enhanced jumping capabilities, cloaking and climbing.
"We're building a whole separate character skeleton on top of the character animation to be able to see all those articulated parts and things moving as he's running," animation director Christopher Stone told Gamespot. "It's really going to let you feel like a bad (expletive), which is something that everybody needs to feel like playing Call of Duty."
The game is completely redesigned from previous versions of Call of Duty. The way things look on screen, the animations, physics, audio and more have all been changed and updated.
The audio is said to be especially exciting for Advanced Warfare.
Don Veca, of Sledgehammer Games, the developer of Advanced Warfare, said the audio will be very realistic. He said that you will "virtually never hear the same impact or explosion twice."
The players will look more realistic. Thanks to the creators spending an extra year on this version of Call of Duty (usually it's only a two-year cycle), more time and detail was put into the facial animations of the characters in the game. It is said to be a "near photorealstic world."
The better gameplay will occur on Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but Advanced Warfare will still be available for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Instead of using Sledgehammer, the older generation system versions of Advanced Warfare will be developed by High Moon Studios.
Female gamers will be pleased to know that, in the multiplayer mode on Advanced Warfare, they'll be able to choose female soldiers.
Advanced Warfare is scheduled for a Nov. 4 release.
