Former Destiny's Child Member Farrah Franklin Arrested in South Carolina
Farrah Franklin, a former band member of superstar group Destiny's Child, was arrested Sunday morning for disorderly conduct in South Carolina.
Police found Franklin, who first joined "DC" in 2000 and later left the group after five months, lying down in front of a neighbor's lawn, reported TMZ.
On discovering Franklin asleep in front of a neighbor's property, Police described her as "highly intoxicated" and "unsteady on her feet."
According to TMZ, Franklin had been out on the town drinking and partying a day prior to her arrest with NFL players Da'Quan Bowers and Ricky Sapp.
Sapp, Bowers and Franklin later continued the partying at Sapp's house. It was there that Franklin allegedly got belligerent and began "screaming and slamming doors." Sap and Bowers later told police that at the time of their drinking binge, they believed that Franklin had also been doing drugs. [TMZ]
As Franklin's erratic behavior continued to escalate, she eventually ran away and Sapp and Bowers called police. A few hours later, she was found sleeping on the street.
Franklin was then booked at around 5 a.m. EST on Sunday and released shortly after on the same day, reported People.
Franklin denied using drugs at the time of her drinking binge.
Since her release, Franklin has posted a series of Instagram photos along with captions claiming that she's "unbothered" and "staying prayed up and away from negativity."
"Unbothered and staying prayed up and, away from any negativity. #StillStanding #GodsChild Don't judge what you don't know. The sad thing is people LIVE for drama but run from the truth, Smh. There's always 3 sides to a story your side, my side and the TRUTH! But the truth is normally not as interesting as a lie, lol."
