Everybody already knows about the elite players in the National Football League, but there's still many other great players that hold value for fantasy footballers around the world. The "sleepers" as they're known as in fantasy football hold good value, but don't get drafted until the later rounds. We decided to provide a few players that may go under the radar for the 2014 NFL season.

Five players that could be sleepers in fantasy leagues:

1. Philip Rivers

It might seem weird having a quarterback who has won four playoff games and has four seasons over 4,000 yards, but Rivers isn't usually mentioned with elite quarterbacks. He also gets overshadowed because he's not even the best quarterback in his own division, the AFC West. With Peyton Manning and other elite quarterbacks going high with other high profile position players, Rivers could be a steal.

2. LeGarrette Blount

Blount will fit in great with the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. He's a smash mouth back that does his damage between the tackles and he will get plenty of carries. Blount averages 4.7 yards per carry in his four year career thus far and there's a good chance he could hit the 1,000 yard mark this season. It's very unlikely he will get drafted in the first or second round of many drafts.

3. Jets Defense

As much criticism as the Jets take, their defense is always competitive. Even last season, their defense ranked No. 11 overall in the league and in 2012 the defense ranked No. 8. Ever since Rex Ryan arrived there as the head coach, the defense has been one of the best defensive units in the NFL. All five seasons with Ryan at the helm, the Jets defense has ranked in the top 11. This defense could be a big sleeper.

4. Eric Ebron

The big name tight ends will get drafted high like Robert Gronkowski, Jimmy Graham (yes, he's a tight end) and Vernon Davis. Ebron was the highest selected tight end of the 2014 NFL Draft at No. 10 by the Detroit Lions. Although he's just a rookie and hasn't played a single game in the NFL, he's going to be playing in the most pass-happy offense in the league. Calvin Johnson is already known as the league's best wide receiver and will be drawing constant double teams, so this should open the gates for Ebron.

5. DeSean Jackson

Even though Jackson is considered one of the best deep threats in the league, many are still doubting his transition to the nation's capital. Last season the 27-year-old wide receiver had a career high in receptions and yards but was released by the Philadelphia Eagles. Jackson will be catching passes from former Heisman trophy winner Robert Griffin III, and he will face the Eagles twice. Let's also not forget that DeSean Jackson has a lot of special teams skills as well.
