Scandal TV Show Season 4 Cast Rumors: Portia de Rossi to Have 'Top Secret Arc' Next Season
Portia de Rossi has just snagged a role on "Scandal."
The news was confirmed by her wife, Ellen DeGeneres. In classic DeGeneres nature, the talk show host made a joke before revealing that her wife would be taking part in "Scandal."
So annoying when people brag on twitter & that's why I'm not tweeting that Portia just signed on to do a top secret arc on "Scandal". Oops.

There is not any more information about the role.
Entertainment Weekly, however, thinks that perhaps the "top secret" was in reference to B-613 and that Rossi might be a part of it. The one thing that is for certain is that she will be involved in a few episodes.
Season 3 ended with Olivia Pope, who is portrayed by Kerry Washington, leaving behind Fitz. The president is dealing with the loss of his son, and he's also dealing with the kind of person that his father is.
Shonda Rhimes, who created the show, previously revealed a bit of what can be expected in the fourth season.
Some time will have passed since the finale.
"I don't like the phrase time jump. We come back in a different place. I guess it's a time jump; it's not that big," Shonda Rhimes said to the The Hollywood Reporter.
In the same interview, she explained that she already knows when "Scandal" will end, and it won't be eight or 10 seasons long. It probably wouldn't follow the characters' lives after Fitz's presidency ends.
And though all the Gladiators will be impacted by Harrison's death, it seems Abby will take it the hardest, which is fitting as the fourth season will more prominently feature her character.
"A lot of what we know about Abby happens this season," she said. "A lot of what we discover about her and see about her backstory will happen as we tell Abby's story."
The show returns Sept. 25 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
