Cristiano Ronaldo to Young Money? Lil Wayne to Start Sports Management Company
Lil Wayne is reportedly starting his own sports management company and signing worldwide soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo as his first client.
According to TMZ, the YMCMB founder has been wanting to branch out to the sports management field for a while, setting his eyes on the Team Portugal. Sources claimed that his new company would be working with PolarisSports, which is affiliated with the CAA and GestiFute, an organization that Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes operates.
Wayne also will be responsible for "handling Ronaldo's sports management affairs in the United States -- everything from branding to marketing and endorsement deals. Even modeling."
Cristiano Ronaldo seemed to confirm the previous claims, as he took to his Twitter account on Thursday to post a photo of himself with the Japanese prime minister and other Japanese politicians, throwing up the YMCMB sign. "YMCMB with @jpn_pmo what you think @srod7 @liltunechi @euro," he wrote the following caption.

However, the Portuguese player also caused confusion, as he tweeted on Saturday, July 26, that there will be no changes to his original management team: "There have been news about changes on my management team -- it's all false, and I can assure the team is -- and will be -- the same."

The "Believe Me" rapper's representative then confirmed to TMZ that Weezy is "definitely in business with Cristiano Ronaldo," and the two "already have a project together set for this week."
Meanwhile, the New Orleans emcee is currently preparing for highly anticipated "Drake vs. Lil Wayne" summer tour, which is less than a month away. Tunechi previously revealed what fans can expect from the forthcoming shows.
"Since, thank god we've been so successful, [we'll just be] going back and forth with our hits and getting the crowd to go crazy, then just finally hit the stage together," he told MTV News. "It's battle type thing."
