Wiz Khalifa New Album Release Update 2014: Rapper Explains Why Miley Cyrus Won't Be On 'Blacc Hollywood'
Wiz Khalifa revealed back in February that Miley Cyrus would be featured in his upcoming project. However, he now explains why the twerking pop star won't be appearing on his highly anticipated fifth studio album "Blacc Hollywood."
The Pittsburgh emcee previously discussed the "Wrecking Ball" hitmaker-assisted track.
"There is a Miley [Cyrus] song on the album," he told Billboard. "It might not be what everybody expects from me and Miley 'cause we do like club records and fun stuff. So, the one I have for the album is completely left of that, but it's crazy, it's insane."
Khalifa also opened up about hanging out with Cyrus, who also collaborated with September on Mike Will Made It on "23."
"It's cool as heck kicking with Miley," he said. "She's real fun. We ride Can-Am's through Hollywood, and we just chill. Everybody knows she smokes pot now, so I can say we smoke a ton of pot and we just kick it."
However, the 26-year-old rapper recently claimed that the 21-year-old singer did not make it on the guest list for the follow-up to his 2012 "O.N.I.F.C."
"It didn't get cleared, just because of some things that had to do with the song," he told Hollywood Reporter. "I think somebody else ended up paying for the beat, so that song didn't make it."
In addition, the Taylor Gang founder also talked about his lead single "We Dem Boyz," an energetic anthem that has spent 18 weeks on Billboard's Hip Hop Charts since its release.
"There's a difference between singles that define what music is going to sound like and singles that go along with what music already sounds like," he said. "I felt like 'We Dem Boyz' was one that defined."
Wiz Khalifa's "We Dem Boyz," which is set to feature Ty Dolla $ign, Juicy J, Curren$y and Nicki Minaj among others, is now available for preorder on iTunes and hits shelves Aug. 19.
