Despite the rumors pitting former "Sam & Cat" co-stars Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Gande against each other, McCurdy recently tweeted her support and condolences to Grande following the death of her grandfather.

Prior to McCurdy's tweet of support for the Grande family, reports claimed that Grande and McCurdy had ended their friendship and left the show "Sam & Cat" due to McCurdy's jealousy over Grande's rising stardom.
At the time of the "Sam & Cat" cancellation news, a HollywoodLife source revealed, "Jennette is upset the show is not returning but she wanted to be treated with the same respect that Ariana was being treated with and also wanted more money."
The HL source continued, "The writing on the wall that the show was not returning was concrete once Ariana had a number one hit song, that was the final nail as Ariana is now in a different stratosphere in her career and will be pursuing other opportunities and worrying about her album."
But now that McCurdy has tweeted her support for Grande during this her family's mourning, perhaps the feud rumors can be put to rest.
In addition to the rumors, McCurdy also wants the idea that she is a role model to be put to rest.
On Thursday, McCurdy wrote a reddit post that she titled, "I am not a role model."
In the reddit post, McCurdy admits that now that she has grown up, she will no longer try to live up to the expectations and pressures of being a role model.
"With the growing I've done, I realize that to attempt to live up to the idea of being a role model is to set myself up for foregone failure. Sure, I've made some mistakes, but even if I hadn't, people would have found invisible ones. This world is one seemingly most keen on judgment and negativity, despite all the hearts and smiley emoticons," she writes.
