Chris Brown is currently working on his highly anticipated, much delayed upcoming sixth studio album "X," due out this fall.

According to Hollywood Life, Brown is "about to announce fall album release date," following his hit single "Loyal," released in December 2013. Also, an insider confirmed that an undercover "tour will be in conjunction with the album and that will happen this year."

The 25-year-old R&B singer is consider this his "comeback album."

"He's been I the studio constantly, finishing up his album," the source said. "He's been arranging which tracks will go on there, plus some others that he wrote when he was [in jail] is making its way on the album.

"Chris is keeping the rest of the tracks that haven't been released yet on the DL, and just focusing on working on it and not rushing it," the source said. "He's not trying to say too much about it because he doesn't want to jinx himself if it's not a hot album. On the other hand, he wants to keep everyone in mystery about it so they can be really anxious to get it when it drops it."

Chris Brown pushed back the release date of "X" several times since last year, mainly because he wants to make sure it is a huge success.

"He's not trying to rush it," a source close to him said. "He's not trying to rush the songs, the production or the release date.

"The people behind him who are working on this are straight professionals who have been doing this before Chris was even born. They know what they're doing and Chris is letting them do their jobs. That's what they get paid to do," the source said. "Chris wants 'X' to not only be bomb in terms of the content, but he wants it to make a killing and sell well too.

"This is a business and he does want to make money."
