"Fringe" star Blair Brown has been hired as a new cast member to be on Netflix's hit series, "Orange Is the new Black, reports TV Guide.

Additional details regarding Brown's character on the show are being kept under wraps.

Prior to her "OITNB" debut, Brown starred in FOX's "Fringe" for five seasons as Nina Sharp. The 67 year-old actress has also appeared on "Political Animals, Falling Skies and Law & Order: SVU," E! News reports.

Brown isn't the only new cast member on "OITNB." She joins Mary Steenburgen who was recently announced as "OITNB's" newcomer that will play Pornstache's mother while Pornstache is away in jail.

Although Steenburgen's storyline on the show is also being kept secret, TV Guide suggests that her character "...will likely have to deal with her son's complicated situation as of the end of Season 2, which saw Mendez (Pablo Schreiber) facing fallout over his relationship with Daya."

As Season 3 of "OITNB" approaches, various changes are being made, especially when it comes to the cast.

As previously mentioned, Schrieber will no longer be on the show. Instead, he will be a series regular on HBO's "The Brink."

Laura Prepon, who only appeared on four episodes on Season 2 of "OITNB," is now a series regular on Season 3.

And lastly, Matt McGorry will be juggling his star role on "OITNB" while working on ABC's upcoming drama, "How to get Away With Murder" starring Viola Davis.

"Generally speaking, I get to be present in both shows, which is sort of amazing," McGorry said at this year's Television Critics Association summer press tour. "I am allowed to do both, which is incredible and I think ABC giving me permission to do that is really quite wonderful ... It's too early to tell how it's going to work, but same way as Pablo Schreiber in season two, you can shoot things out of order. Thankfully, I get to do both."
