During an interview with the Huffington Post, Martha Stewart called Blake Lively's new Internet lifestyle venture "stupid."

Lively recently announced the launch of her new "Preserve" lifestyle website to Vogue, which featured the former "Gossip Girl" actress on their latest cover.

While speaking with Vogue's Johnathan Van Meter, Lively described "Preserve" as "...the thing that blindsides you on an idle Tuesday that's tragic but that also makes you who you are. It's not about me. And it's not about watching my journey of learning how-to, it's about me sharing that with you so we all sort of learn together."

Naturally, Lively's new lifestyle venture brought on various Martha Stewart comparisons.

But rather than embrace the 26-year-old actress, Stewart challenged Lively's attempt to follow in her footsteps.

"Let her try," the Lifestyle mogul said to the Huffington Post.

Despite her less than positive feedback towards "Preserve," Stewart admitted that Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds are her friends.

"She moved into my neighborhood a couple of years ago with Ryan -- before they got married, they bought a house right around the corner from my house. And they started to come over, not to borrow sugar, but just as friends."

Stewart later revealed her aspirations to one day become Blake Lively.

"I mean ... Why would you want to be me if you could be an actress? I just did a movie yesterday, though -- I can't even tell you about it -- but I want to be Blake Lively," Stewart revealed.

Stewart also expressed her love for Beyoncé during her interview.

"Every day I get star struck by somebody or something," Stewart admitted. "It's fun to admire and to learn from people who are better at everything than you are, so I have many heroes I worship, like Derek Jeter -- I can't play baseball like Derek Jeter! And Beyoncé, I certainly can't dance and sing like Beyoncé!"
