LeBron James to Star in Judd Apatow Movie 'Trainwreck': Comedy Cast Includes Amy Schumer, Tilda Swinton, John Cena and Daniel Radcliffe
Basketball superstar LeBron James' successful career in the sport is now not the only thing he has to offer as a celebrity, since the Cleveland Cavaliers returnee is already officially working on a movie, TMZ reports.
James has been spotted roaming around the NYC set of "Trainwreck," in which he landed a cameo role back in May. While the film is not set to be released until July 2015, it has been receiving a lot of buzz. This is possibly due to the fact that that Judd Apatow and the rest of the production team have desperately been trying to keep the film's developments a secret from the public.
While LeBron James' role in the American comedy film remains unknown, it can be expected that he may not the only sports celebrity to make a cameo. WWE superstar John Cena was also seen on the set earlier this month.
The film, written by Apatow together with Amy Schumer, will be starring Schumer herself with an ensemble that includes Tilda Swinton, Brie Larson, Bill Hader, Barkhad Abdi, Colin Quinn, Mike Birbiglia, Vanessa Bayer, Jon Glaser, Ezra Miller, Method Man and as earlier mentioned, sports superstars LeBron James and John Cena.
Cinema Blend reports that "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe has also been confirmed to be a part of the cast after he was seen shooting some scenes for the film. Marisa Tomei was also reported to be joining the cast earlier this month.
Filming of the scenes began in May in several locations in New York City. It was announced that the release of the film would be on July 24, 2015 but a first look was released by The New York Times on July 18. With about a year to go, more roles may be created, either with stars or cameo appearances.
