Even though the iPhone 6 hasn't even been officially announced, a luxury company is already taking pre-orders for a 24-carat gold iPhone.

Luxury design and accessory company Brikk is taking pre-orders for 14 different luxury versions of the next iPhone. These models include a 24-carat yellow gold version, a 24-carat pink gold version and a pure platinum version as well. They will be the phone with 128 gigabytes of storage.

If customers wish, they can add another carat of pure white diamonds to the back of the phone.

Brikk's pre-order capability is being done without Apple's approval and isn't guaranteeing anything by offering the pre-order feature.

On Monday Brikk reportedly said in a release:

"Each piece is disassembled inside Brikk's state-of-the-art laboratory in Los Angeles, USA by a team of highly skilled engineers. They are hand polished, prepared and plated with five layers of diverse metals before their final plating in either two layers of gold or platinum."

On the pre-order site, Brikk warns that "specifications, images and information cannot be guaranteed and is subject to change based on the actual release of the iPhone 6 by Apple Corporation."

Brikk is projecting a release of a new iPhone, but like the general public, doesn't know when (or if) it will occur.

The prices are going to be high. A non-refundable deposit of $500 will get prospective customers started and then a final price of between $4,495 and $8,395 will get them the fancy phone.

The Brikk special edition iPhones won't come out right when Apple officially releases the iPhone 6, but the company says they will ship them three to four weeks after Apple's release.

A one-year warranty through Brikk will be offered, and that's good news because the way Brikk is altering, the phone will probably void Apple's built-in warranty.

Although this phone might not be available to the average iPhone buyer, wealthy customers will certainly make the splurge for it.
