One of the biggest questions heading into 2014-15 National Basketball Association season is: how will Jeremy Lin fit in with the Los Angeles Lakers?

The Lakers are coming off one of their worst NBA seasons in franchise history in which they lost 55 games, the most in team history.

Lin brings a lot of positives and some negatives with his playing style, so the Lakers and head coach Byron Scott have to use him properly. Lin paired up with future Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant gives fans lot of pros and cons to look forward to.

Latin Post takes a look at some of the positives and negatives that could happen with Kobe and Lin playing together:

Pros

Lin Brings Youth

Kobe Bryant is entering his 19th career season in the NBA. He's an aging veteran who is coming off major knee surgery. Of course, Bryant will always be the man in Los Angeles, but with Lin now playing in the same backcourt with Bryant, this could be a very exciting guard tandem. The Lakers will need Lin and his youth down the final season stretch, especially at the end of games because of his endurance.

Lin Willing to Learn From Kobe

Lin has already said multiple times that he is "exited and anxious" to play with Bryant. After lighting up Madison Square Garden on numerous occasions while with the New York Knicks, Lin's shots per game decreased in Houston. Lin could learn a lot from Bryant and veteran point guard Steve Nash next season. With Bryant leading this team and Lin willing to learn, playoffs are a possibility.

Lin is a Duel Threat

While Lin isn't the next John Stockton or even the next Ricky Rubio, he is a talented scorer. Paired with Bryant, he could be the next Derek Fisher for the Lakers. Similar to Fisher, Lin can pass and shoot, which brings a duel threat to the Lakers against their opponents. Bryant is obviously used to playing with that style point guard and with much success.

Unfortunately, Lin and Bryant aren't a guaranteed winning combination.

Cons

Both Need the Ball

Bryant isn't known for being the best teammate and he certainly isn't recognized as being a great passer. If this relationship is going to work and translate into wins, Bryant is going to have to be willing to pass the rock. Lin, on the other hand, does almost all of his damage with the ball, passing- and shooting-wise. Both Lin and Bryant have to take advantage of practices to work things out on the floor.

Neither are Elite Defenders

Although Lin and Bryant make an interesting and most likely successful backcourt, neither are top-notch defenders. Bryant isn't shutting down opposing guards like he used to and Lin isn't exactly viewed as the next Gary Payton. Carlos Boozer was a nice addition, but Pau Gasol, a key member of the Lakers back-to-back NBA title-winning teams in 2009 and 2010, is with the Chicago Bulls now. Getting Michael Beasley would certainly change things.

Will Byron Scott Go With Lin or Nash?

There's still a long way to go until next year's NBA season and it's still unknown who Scott will choose as his starting point guard. Many people still believe that 40-year-old Steve Nash will be the starter to open up the season because of his experience. Lin has said he wants more playing time, especially with Bryant, but that may have to wait.
