Harry Potter: New Book Covers Revised
It was almost 20 years ago that the epic fantasy novel fans were introduced to the "Boy Who Lived," a la Harry Potter on June 30 1997. Now, all of the book covers are getting a revamp.
The author J.K. Rowling has spawned success with seven books, eight films, and by some accounts the series has sold almost 500 million copies, making it the best-selling book in history. So probably it is time that Harry Potter had a bit of touchup.
Do not be mistaken, these are not rewrites of the books, these are new revisions of the Harry Potter book covers, all seven of them.
BuzzFeed has provided a masterful look of a before-and-after of the previous book covers. On their website one can scroll the mouse over the old book cover to reveal the new one. In other words, it is like waving a wand over an old book cover.
Here is a glimpse of all seven of the new revamped book covers found on Twitter:

The new covers have been illustrated by artist Jonny Duddle. The new look captures more of Potter's black hair, Parade reported. While these new book covers are yet to unveil, this is not the first time that Rowling's novels got a makeover. Last year, Scholastic, the series' publisher, in the U.S. showcased fresh covers too.

While the books are getting a revamp, Rowling has not stopped since the book series ended in 2007, and the last Harry Potter movie "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2" in July 2011. She is very active on social media, and she has written three other books, one of which, "The Casual Vacancy," is about to be turned into a mini-series on HBO. And, Rowling is involved in philanthropic work.
Duddle, the book cover designer, is a U.K. concept artist and illustrator. These new editions will be available in the U.K. on Sept. 1, Mashable reported.
Sorry, Harry Potter fans, you will not be able to use any summoning spells like "Accio" to get the new books any earlier.
