Kirstie Alley Slams Former ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Partner Makism Chmerkovskiy
On Friday, Kirstie Alley seemingly slammed her "Dancing with the Stars" partner, Makism Chmerkovskiy, via Twitter, following his appearance on Andy Cohen's "Watch What Happens Live."
Chmerkovskiy recently appeared on "Watch What Happens Live" and talked about the reason for his strained friendship with Kirstie Alley, reports The New York Daily News.
During their partnership on "Dancing with the Stars," the two remained friends. But up until recently, Chmerkovskiy admitted that the two ended their friendship due to a difference in religious beliefs and the people that Chmerkovskiy has chosen to associate with.
"She stopped getting along with me," Chmerkovskiy told Andy Cohen on "WWHL." "We had a great relationship ... But I got a message now that I am associating with other people that she can't be associated with, I am no longer to be spoken with, and sorry, but it is what it is."
He continued, "I think the world of her. I'm not judging people by their religion. I'm Jewish. I don't really believe in science fiction, but whatever. It's sad that we've gone through so much together, and I feel like I've helped her. And this is where we're at now. But I still think the world of her, and I wish her all the best."
Following Chmerkovskiy's "WWHL" revelation, People and Page Six rumors surfaced that Alley, who is an avid Scientologist, had allegedly ended her friendship with the 34-year-old dancer because he is rumored to be dating Jennifer Lopez, who has openly admitted to being one of the people who supported actress Leah Remini's decision to leave the Church of Scientology.
Alley is also no longer friends with Remini because of her decision to leave the church and just recently called Remini a "bigot" for remarks she made about leaving Scientology, reports People.
Despite the rumors, Alley went on Twitter to dispel the J.Lo allegations and slammed Chmerkovskiy for his "WWHL" remarks.
"Dear Sir..after you have *** raped me there is really no reason to include 'I wish you the best'.. It's rhetorical," Alley tweeted on Friday.
On Sunday, Alley slammed the J.Lo/Remini rumor reports that she described as "nasty gossip." "To those who believe nasty gossip spewed by others, please stop following. To those who know me, carry on," she tweeted.
Chmerkovskiy has yet to respond to Alley's online diss.
