Justin Bieber may have used his Instagram account to upset Orlando Bloom, but this week he used it for some good reasons.

On Instagram, the singer shared a picture of himself chatting through FaceTime with Malala Yousafzai, a 17-year-old education activist. Bieber has a big smile on his face and even wrote a kind message about the interaction.

"Just got to FaceTime with Malala Yousafzai," he said. "She has such an incredible story. I can't wait to meet her in person and talk about how I can support her and the@malalafund. #love"

The Pakistani Activist first became known after being shot in the head for saying that girls in her country should have the right to an education. She was then 15 years old.

She first started an anonymous blog but shut it down because of death threats. Her identity became known after The New York Times featured her in a documentary.

Though some Bieber fans were more concerned with the singer following them on the social media platform, others applauded Bieber for doing his part to bring awareness to Yousafzai.

One follower said, "Yes, Justin, make the world see that you are good person."

Bieber is not the only celebrity who has been impressed with the activist.

She was a guest on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" in October 2013, where she spoke more about her experiences.

"If you hit a Talib, then there would be no difference between you and the Talib," she said. "You must not treat others with cruelty. ... You must fight others through peace and through dialogue and through education."

She said that if she were face to face with a terrorist, she would talk to him about education.

"I would tell him how important education is and that I would even want education for your children as well," she said. "That what I want to tell you, now do what you want."

Stewart was left speechless, but he soon voiced how impressed he was with her.

"I know your father is backstage, and he's very proud of you. But would he be mad if I adopted you?" he said.
