Miley Cyrus's latest revealing interview may not be legitimate, according to her rep.

"I have so many f--king issues," pop sensation Miley Cyrus was quoted saying to U.K. publication Sunday People. "I am so f--ked up - everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up."

The 20-year-old singer-actress was then quoted as saying she didn't have a normal life and that she had sleeping issues.

"People are impressed with me because I can sleep for just 45 minutes -- I'm used to it," she was quoted as saying. "I've made a record so I have to promote it so I have to work to get it done -- and then pass out."

The interview then quotes the pop star saying she only eats what she needs and doesn't exercise. It's not clear exactly when the interview took place, but now Miley Cyrus's rep is saying that her quotes in the interview are misleading.

"She only did one interview since VMAs and that's not it," her rep told Just Jared. "She sat down with MTV for her upcoming documentary. We haven't released that interview yet. Someone did some creative editing of an old interview."

According to The Australian, Cyrus was seen heading into the recording in Studio City yesterday. In her questionable interview with Sunday People, Cyrus was quoted as saying: "I suppose I am a workhorse. I love being in the studio and when I take a vacation I get so bored."

Cyrus took to Twitter yesterday and posted her supposed opinion on the matter.

"ain't nobody got time for that #BS," she tweeted.

The former Disney channel star has been in the headlines ever since her scandalous performance of "We Can't Stop" at the VMAs. Cyrus danced and twerked in a nude latex bikini, and did the same thing during Robin Thicke's performance of "Blurred Lines." Her actions at the VMAs have been met with both criticism and praise.

Cyrus's upcoming fourth studio album "Bangerz" is set to be released on Oct. 4.
