'Bones' Season 10 Spoilers and Trailer: Actress Emily Deschanel Talks About Booth's Imprisonment Next Season [Video]
The drama in the Season 9 finale of "Bones" will pick up right where it left off when the long running series returns to Fox this fall.
In the blowout finale, Booth and Brennan's home was destroyed in a hail of gunfire while Booth was framed and ended up being falsely arrested for murdering three federal agents.
Season 10 will start four months later with Booth still in prison and Brennan stressing over how she will get him out.
"He's a man of much anger and he is fueled to find out who did this to his family," actor David Boreanaz told TV Guide. "I wouldn't want to get in his way right now."
Actress Emily Deschanel also dropped a few teasers about the upcoming season of "Bones" at San Diego Comic Con 2014, telling BuddyTV that while Brennan fights to clear Booth's name, "he's not always happy about the way Brennan is doing things to help him."
The actress went on to emphasize the toll that Booth's imprisonment will have on her character.
"It's really stressful. She's on her own with her child, her husband is in prison," said Deschanel.
Plus, not only is he in prison, but his life is in danger.
"Nobody likes an FBI agent in prison, [not] even the guards. And it's not safe for him," she said.
Deschanel revealed that Booth will eventually be released, however "It's not necessarily going to be flowers when he arrives back."
"This is a whole new dynamic," she added.
There is some good news for Brennan, however. According to Deschanel, "She has to find a new home first of all, that's really big. And she does and it's beautiful."
Still, once Booth returns home, it will be apparent that the incident had a major effect on him.
"We're going to shake someone's trust in everything they've believed in," executive producer Stephen Nathan told TV Guide. "Booth has never been in that situation before. He's trusted the government and put his life on the line. ... Everything has been damaged -- head, heart, body. Putting it back together is a challenge."
In addition, Nathan told TVLine that Hodgins and Angela will hit a rough patch in their relationship next season.
"Life won't be easy for them ... Angela's still pulled in two directions -- working [at the Jeffersonian] and being with Hodgins. I think there's a sense for all the characters that their lives might have other demands for them. People are going to be changing and wanting different things -- as would be the case with any group of people you've known for 10 years," he said.
"Bones" Season 10 premieres Thursday, Sept. 25, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
