Powerball Numbers & Results: Winner Notches $90 Million Ticket in Colorado
The owner of the lucky Powerball ticket purchased in Colorado can now consider themselves $90 million richer.
The winner of Saturday's drawing -- the largest Powerball jackpot prize ever won in Colorado -- purchased their ticket at a Kum & Go convenience store located in Rifle, according to the Colorado Lottery.
However, the ticket holder has yet to claim their winnings. In the meantime, the store will get a $50,000 commission.
The winning numbers are 3, 12, 31, 34, 51 and Powerball 24.
If the winner decides to go with the cash option to collect their prize, then they will walk away with $54.9 million before taxes.
Another lucky ticket worth $1 million was also sold in Colorado. "It was purchased in the Denver suburb of Broomfield, and the winner hasn't come forward yet," reported The Associated Press.
Winners have the option of either accepting an annuitized prize, paid out over 29 years in 30 payments, or one lump-sum payout.
It costs just $2 to get in the game, and an additional $1 will allow you to add the Power Play multiplier per play. The $2 tickets allow players to pick five numbers from one to 59 and a Powerball number from one to 35.
Powerball is played in 43 states in addition to the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Depending on the state you're in, the draw entry will close either one or two hours before the actual drawing, according to the Powerball website. Powerball winning numbers are drawn live every Wednesday and Saturday night at 11 p.m. EDT.
You can watch the drawing live online or check the Powerball website for the winning numbers.
Powerball draws can also be seen on hundreds of TV stations across the nation. Check here to see what station will broadcast it in your state. Officials will also post the drawings on YouTube.
