'Madden 15' Gameplay, Player Rating Rumors, and News: No Demo Version Expected This Time Around
In the past, potential buyers could always give the new Madden NFL video game a try by playing its demo. This year, there will be no demo, EA Sports confirmed.
Instead, there will be a full trial version of the game and it'll only be available through EA Access, a subscription-based service that costs "as low as $4.99 per month." EA Access is only available for Xbox One and not for PlayStation 3 or 4.
With EA Access, you can access older versions of games like "Madden" and also access the full "trial version" of Madden 2015 before the game's release. This is good news for Xbox One owners and bad news for PlayStation owners. Sony is choosing not to team up with EA Access, at least for now.
It's disappointing to gamers that don't wish to pay for EA Access that they can't play a demo version of the game at their local Best Buy or Gamestop store, though. That's after almost a decade of Madden demos coming out before the full version release.
Let's face it, it's only week two of the NFL preseason and "Madden" fans can't wait to get their hands on the new game. But, this paywall blocking them from doing so will likely cause some anger.
Franchise Mode will be Better
Want to move your team to Salt Lake City, Utah? You can do that in "Madden 2015." You'll be able to relocate your team and even change the name of it with Connected Franchise Mode. Jerseys too will be customizable.
This looks like a great update to franchise mode. It seems like "Madden" really wants players to feel like owners and General Managers as much as possible.
Player Ratings can Change During the Season
Thanks to the Internet and online gameplay, the ratings that these players have received are subject to change, and they will. Calvin Johnson received a 99 overall rating and, despite his dominance at the wide receiver position, he's not perfect. He'll drop a ball, he could get injured, he could run the wrong route, no one is perfect. Expect some players to drop a few points in various ratings and expect some to climb.
