"Downton Abbey" Season 5 is returning, though the series will not come to the U.S. until next year. Despite the long wait, the hit British TV series revealed online last week some photos about the upcoming season and the new additions to the cast.

The digital photos of "Downton Abbey" Season 5 offers some big reveals and spoilers of what is to come. Some of the actresses and the show's producer revealed even more tidbits. (You can find the images below this article.)

The photos came via PBS' Masterpiece, and the show's own official Facebook page (Downton Abbey). The international renowned British TV series through its photos showcased returning cast members, such as Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley, Jim Carter as Mr. Carson, and the darling couple Brendan Coyle and Joanne Froggatt as Mr. and Mrs. Bates, Entertainment Weekly reported.

The images also feature some new stars: Fifi Hart as Sybbie and the twins Zac and Oliver Barker who play George. Also appearing is Richard E. Grant as Simon Bricker, which could mean a time jump, Entertainment Weekly reported.

"Downton Abbey" actresses and the show's producer reveal more. Laura Carmichael as Lady Edith and Michelle Dockery as Lady Mary both admit that their characters will be arguing with each other; and that Lady Mary will be even bullying Lady Edith, the Huffington Post reported.

The last time we left Lady Edith, she had brought her illegitimate child back from overseas to be raised by her and the Crawley's family neighborhood farmer.

Lady Mary will be pushing around Lady Edith a lot more than usual, Huffington Post reported. Dockery further confirms that Lady Mary will definitely "be mean" this upcoming season. But Lady Mary has no idea about Lady Edith's illegitimate child.

Carmichael also says that her character Lady Edith will be doing a lot of moping around and feeling lonely. But the new season might not have a negative tone like the previous one, Huffington Post reported. "Downton Abbey's" executive producer Gareth Neame stated that the new season should have a lot of laughs and romance.

"We have all of the characters doing the things people love to see them doing, but we have a few really nice twists and turns as well," Neame said, the Huffington Post reported.

"Downton Abbey" Season 5 will arrive on PBS on Jan. 4, 2015, in the U.S.
