WWE Raw Preview, Spoilers for August 18, 2014: Brock Lesnar Celebrates After Defeating John Cena for Title at "SummerSlam"
SummerSlam turned out to be quite a special night for a few WWE superstars with all the titles on the line in Sunday's card having changed hands, setting the stage for a must-watch WWE Raw on Monday in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Brock Lesnar came into Los Angeles and did exactly what he said what he was going to do: destroy John Cena and take the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The mauling started out right away with Cena getting caught with an F5 within the first three minutes of the bout. Brock continued to dish out punishment despite Cena's best efforts to fight back, even managing to get Lesnar locked into his STF finisher. While it seemed like the referee would stop the bout due to the abuse Cena was taking, "The Anomly" finally put Cena out of his misery after a series of German Suplexes and ending it with an F5 for his fourth WWE world title. What will Paul Heyman say Monday night, as he celebrates his client's latest conquest since becoming the one in The Undertaker's 21-1 Wrestlemania record?
Paige certainly has AJ Lee's attention after defeating her for the WWE Divas title Sunday night. AJ looked like she was on the verge of retaining her title before Paige reversed the champion's Black Widow submission hold into her Ram-Paige DDT finisher, pinning her to become the new Divas champion on her 22nd birthday. How will the young, two-time champion start off her latest title reign, and will AJ get her mandatory title rematch on Raw?
Much like Paige, Dolph Ziggler has much to celebrate on Monday after becoming the new Intercontinental Champion, beating The Miz for the title in front of his Hollywood friends. Ziggler ducked The Miz's kick late in the bout and hit him with the Zig Zag to become the Intercontinental Champion for the second time in his career. Will The Miz risk his "Money-Maker" to get back the title from Ziggler?
Stephanie McMahon also had a glorious night, representing The Authority in her match against Brie Bella. McMahon, who had not been in ring in over decade, showed her the "ruthless aggression" her father preaches about, pulling out all the stops including having her husband, Triple H, interfere in the bout, breaking referee's count when Bella had McMahon trapped in the YES! Lock. Nikki Bella took out Triple H, but just when it seemed like the Bella Twins would finally put McMahon in her place, The Authority's "Plan B" kicked into high-gear as Nikki turned on her sister Brie and helped McMahon snatch the victory. How will Brie react to her sibling's betrayal?

Seth Rollins was another Authority member who came away with a huge win Sunday night. Rollins had his hands full with Dean Ambrose in their Lumberjack match, a bout which may have stolen the show. Even the WWE Superstars surrounding the ring could not contain "The Lunatic Fringe," with Ambrose taking the fight into the stands despite the lumberjacks' best efforts to do their job. Rollins tried to escape, only to have the lumberjacks cut him off at the pass and carry him back to the ring. Ambrose put his body on the line with a Body-Splash off the top rope to take out Rollins and the lumberjacks. But Kane proved to be instrumental in Rollins' win, distracting Ambrose long enough for Rollins to knock him out with his Money In The Bank (MITB) suitcase to seal the victory. Has Rollins finally shed himself of his Ambrose problem, or will his former Shield teammate continue to hound the MITB winner?
One Authority member who failed to step up in Los Angeles was Randy Orton, who, despite impressively reversing Roman Reigns' attempt at a Spear into an RKO, failed to put away his SummerSlam opponent. "The Viper" went for a Punt Kick across his rival's head, but Reigns managed to duck it before Spearing Orton and ending the former champion's night in defeat. How will The Authority react to Orton's Sunday night failure?
Bray Wyatt did not need the help of his clan, who were banished from ringside, to beat Chris Jericho Sunday night. In what proved to be a highly physical match, Wyatt managed to take the action outside the ring, hitting the six-time WWE world champin with a Sister Abigail finisher against the barricade, then dragging him back into the ring and delivering another one in the middle of the ring for the win. Wyatt capped off the night with a sing-a-long of "He's Got the Whole World in his Hands" before once again disappearing into the darkness. Who will "The Man of 1,000 Truths" target next after having disposed of Jericho?
