Kid Rock, the self-proclaimed "American Bad A--," is going to be a grandpa.

According to US Weekly, the 43-year-old rock-n-roll star's 21-year-old son is expecting his first child with his girlfriend, who is reportedly four months pregnant.

Back in 1993, the rocker had his son, Robert "Bobby" Ritchie Jr., with his ex-girlfriend Kelley South Russell when he was 22 years old.

The "Born Free" singer then won custody of his 7-year-old son in 2000 and Russell was order to pay $25 per week in child support. Kid Rock went on to raise the child largely as a single parent.

Russell filed a defamation lawsuit against Kid Rock in 2000 over the 1998 song he wrote about their tumultuous relationship, titled "Black Chick, White Guy."

In 2006, Kid Rock married actress and supermodel Pamela Anderson, but filed for divorce five months later after Anderson reportedly criticized his mother and sister in front of his son.

The "Cowboy" singer has admitted that he tries to seperate his life as a parent and as a rock star.

"Make no mistake, Bob Ritchie's up early in the morning taking pictures of his son on the first day of his senior year. Kid Rock is passed out in a hotel room somewhere with four scantily clad women," he said, according to AZ Central.

However, he has also confessed that he has been transparent about living a rock'n'roll lifestyle while raising his son.

''When Junior was young, it was Christmastime. I had a gig the night before, and I was (expletive)-faced, just beyond. Drugs and alcohol. I passed out in my bathroom, dead weight," he said.

"My son comes in, he's like, 'Grandma, something's wrong with Dad!' So my mom tries to get me to make this big excuse up. 'Tell him you came home and you were tired and this that and the other.'

''I'm sitting there at breakfast and I say, 'Your dad got trashed last night.' I'm going to sit here and lie to this kid? He's like seven. I'm like, 'Big concert, party afterward, I drank too much and passed out. I'm not proud of it, but that's what happens when you do that.'''
