To celebrate their six-year wedding anniversary, Portia De Rossi surprised Ellen DeGeneres with a sweet message written in the sky this weekend.

"Look what my wife did for our wedding anniversary. Six!," tweeted the 56-year-old talk show host, along with a picture of them posing cheek-to-cheek while wearing no makeup. The word "Six" spelled out in skywriting can also be seen behind them in the photo.

Earlier this year, DeGeneres addressed speculation that she and her 41-year-old wife were heading towards divorce.

"I read that we were getting divorced, and I went and told [De Rossi], and she was sad," she joked during an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live." "We both were so sad," she added, according to the Huffington Post.

In February, she told also People magazine, "The truth is, and this is corny, I fall more in love with Portia all the time."

Still, rumors of marital discord between the two have been swirling while an insider recently told People that: "They've had their ups and downs...Portia has been very outspoken about previous issues, like her eating disorder, and she's good at seeking help when she needs to. They've worked out difficulties in the past, and no doubt they're trying to work out any problems right now," the source said.

For Christmas, DeGeneres surprised De Rossi with a brand new car. She recorded her reaction on camera and shared it with Ellen fans. In the video, De Rossi didn't initially realize that the car she's been admiring is actually her Christmas present.

Back in 2011, De Rossi surprised DeGeneres with a Marilynn Monroe birthday tribute that DeGeneres then shared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." In the video, De Rossi is dressed like the famous singer while singing a seductive and funny rendition of Happy Birthday.
