Emma Stone is gearing up to make her Broadway debut as showgirl Sally Bowles in "Cabaret," Entertainment Weekly confirms.

Stone, who withdrew from the role last year, is now rejoining the "Cabaret" cast to replace Oscar nominee and current Sally Bowles actress Michelle Williams. Stone's debut performance in "Cabaret" on Broadway begins Nov. 11 and ends Feb. 1 at the Roundabout Theatre. [Entertainment Weekly]

Williams also made her Broadway debut starring in "Cabaret." However, The New York Daily News described Williams' performance as "wispy," "not memorable," and "a weak link compared to Cumming's powerhouse performance."

The New York Times also gave Williams' "Cabaret" performance a less than stellar review that read, "The promiscuous, hard-partying Sally is now embodied by a very brave Michelle Williams, who doesn't look all that happy to be there. I'm assuming that's more a matter of character interpretation than of personal discomfort, but it does put sort of a damper on the festivities."

Other publications including Variety even commented that Williams appeared uncomfortable on stage.

Contrary to what many critics describe as a disappointing performance from Williams, her co-star, Alan Cumming was praised for his revival of the Emcee role that earned him a Tony award back in 1998.

BBC notes that The Guardian praised Cumming's comeback performance, describing it as "one of the great stage performances of all time."

The Independent's Tom Teodorczuk dually noted, "It seems like Alan Cumming ... is out to atone for ever having deviated from the role of a lifetime."

Cumming will also be starring alongside Stone once she takes on the role. However, Cumming's Cabaret contract will extend further than Stone's Broadway run.

Cumming's final "Cabaret" performance is scheduled for March 29, the official closing date of the Broadway revival.
