The Denver Broncos have been one of the best teams in the NFL over the last two seasons.

Last year, they made it all the way to the Super Bowl, but were annihilated by the Seattle Seahawks in the big game. Regardless, the Broncos are 26-6 over the last two seasons combined, and this year it's Super Bowl or bust.

Expectations are going to be extremely high for the Broncos this season, but many questions are still floating around Denver. Here are the five biggest questions for the Broncos' upcoming  2014 NFL season:

1. Can Peyton Manning Repeat Last Year?

Since joining the Broncos in 2012, Manning has thrown 92 touchdowns and 21 interceptions, while throwing for 10,136 yards. In other words, Manning has been perfect. It's unlikely Manning will repeat the magic of last season when he rewrote the record books, but he's still the best player on this team.

Manning is now 38 years old. For most quarterbacks, they're filing for retirement at that age. Manning on the other hand looks like he's in the prime of his career. Maybe, "father time" can be defeated.

2. Will the Super Bowl Loss Have a Hangover?

Teams that lose the Super Bowl almost always miss the postseason the year. Is it a football curse, bad luck or does losing the final game have a lasting hangover? The last time a team went on to win the Super Bowl after losing in it the previous year was the 1972 Miami Dolphins, who went undefeated that season.

The Broncos will definitely make the playoffs, but can they repeat as AFC Champions and return to the Super Bowl? Manning is a very experienced quarterback who has been to three Super Bowls in his career, so he knows what it's like experience the good times and the bad.

3. How Good Will This Defense Be?

Last season, the Broncos ranked No. 19 overall in team defense. Obviously not a great position for a team that has Super Bowl aspirations. Broncos general manager John Elway spent a lot of money this offseason on the defense. He knows the window is closing for the Broncos, and a massive cap will be following in the near future.

This offseason the Broncos added Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward and DeMarcus Ware to their defensive unit. These three defensive players are all some of the best at their respective positions. If the Broncos defense can improve upon last season, this could be the most balanced team in the NFL.

4. How Will They Do Against the NFC West?

Most people in the NFL community will agree that the NFC West is the best division in the entire league. Last season the Broncos destroyed the NFC East by going 4-0 against the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles. In all four games, the Broncos scored more than 40 points.

This year might be a little bit different. The Broncos will face the Seahawks at Century Link Field for week three. They will also be taking on the San Francisco 49ers during week seven at home. It will be interesting to see how the Broncos do against the NFC West.

5. What Will the Running Game Look Like?

The Broncos leading rusher last season was Knowshon Moreno, who had a career high 1,038 yards and 10 touchdowns. Obviously, most of the numbers were inflated because opposing defenses are afraid of the Broncos passing game. Still, Moreno was a good running back for the Broncos, and he's now with the Miami Dolphins.

All of the Broncos running backs are under the age of 25. Montee Ball, who was drafted in the second round in 2013, is expected to get the bulk of the carries this season. Elway didn't invest a lot of time and money into the running back position, but who can blame him when he's got a quarterback who threw 55 touchdowns last season for the offense?
