Based on what his sister said after he split up in 2012 with Anna Jones, a fashion designer, the right woman for her brother should be just as smart as him. She said that her brother is well-read and an intellectual and, just like his character Sherlock, is a very quick thinker.

Benedict Cumberbatch has yet to come clean about the rumored girlfriend but his sister is already hinting that wedding bells might ring soon. According to Tracy Peacock-Tabernacle, one of the regrets of her brother is that he has not found the right person to settle down with and she thinks that someone not from the same industry would be a good match for her brother. She says that he needs someone who will gladly hold down the fort while Benedict goes off to pursue his career.

Prior to his short romance with Anna Jones, Benedict Cumberbatch had a long relationship with screenwriter and actress Olivia Poulet. They were college sweethearts and he revealed in his Vogue interview last year that he will always have warm feelings for her. He was quoted as saying that he will always love and adore her.
