Jennifer Lopez may be known for her music and her romantic relationships, but the singer sets the record straight about the kind of person she is when it comes to love.

She was a guest on "Chelsea Lately" on Thursday, and she said she prefers relationships and that she was not promiscuous.

"I like being in a relationship," she said. "I'm not one to like whore around and stuff like that -- that's not my thing."

Lopez did say that perhaps she doesn't make the best relationship choices, as she just sort of goes for it.

"I just go on a connection with a person, you know what I mean?" she said. "I don't really plan things out, they just happen. Maybe, I need to plan better?"

Lopez was recently seen driving round with Casper Smart, who she recently broke up with.

"Casper was driving and J.Lo was in the passenger seat," said an eyewitness source. "They had the music on loud and were both grooving to the music and laughing together. [She] was sliding down as low as she could in her seat so she wouldn't be seen. Casper put the top up and then they went back to her house."

Though Lopez tried to hide and they even wore matching top knot buns, it doesn't seem the pair is back on.

A source told E! News that they are just "great friends."

The source added that Smart just respects and cares for Lopez and her two children, Max and Emme.

She has been rumored to be dating Maksim Chmerkovskiy, and the two were seen together in the Hamptons for her 45th birthday. Sources says they were affectionate.

"They seemed really happy to see each other," the source said.
