The MTV Video Music Awards may have had big moments with Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus and Beyonce, but the Latino celebrities that were also in attendance had a chance to shine.

Jennifer Lopez literally shined.

The 45-year-old singer wore a silver Charbel Zoe dress, and she definitely got people talking. On top of having cutouts, her dress also had a thigh-high slit. Lopez showed that her age had no bearing on her ability to wear something very revealing.

She also had some great moments inside the award shows.

Right before the show kicked off, an MTV.com stream showed her talking to Julianne Hough. She seemed engaged in the conversation, and because Hough was sitting on the steps below Lopez, it just seemed as though Hough was trying to soak up as much knowledge from the singer.

And another great moment came when Lopez received Skittles from Casper Smart, who sat in the row before her.

The singer introduced Iggy Azalea and Rita Ora for their performance as well.

Demi Lovato and Victoria Justice were also on camera during the show. Lovato presented an award, but she nearly stole the spotlight in her red dress, which had a deep V-neck.

Justice talked to the viewers from backstage, which makes sense as the Nickelodeon star will be moving on to MTV. She will be on "Eye Candy," which is described as a cyber thriller, notes the Hollywood Reporter.

Some Latinos were also nominated for awards, namely Pitbull and Fifth Harmony.

Pitbull was nominated for Best Collaboration alongside Ke$ha for "Timber," but the duo lost out to Beyonce and Jay Z for "Drunk in Love."

Fifth Harmony was nominated for MTV Artist to Watch, an award that was promoted during the entire show. The group, which has a few Latino artists, took home the big prize, beating out Sam Smith, 5 Seconds of Summer, Schoolboy Q and Charli XCX.

Fifth Harmony sweetly thanked parents and fans for helping them win and changing their lives.
