Microsoft's Xbox One has released its first advertisement ahead of its November release.

The advertisement hints at Microsoft's efforts to distance the Xbox console from its Playstation counterpart by highlighting the bells and whistles beyond just the usual gaming experience, such as live streaming, Skype, and voice control.

With a unique sports-related theme, the advertisement has been released just in time for the American NFL season. The actors in the commercial don their favorite football jerseys as the groups gather around the television screen to seemingly watch football through the gaming platform.

This commercial comes after Xbox's recent partnership with the NFL as the console focuses in on the American market. Xbox has to be thrilled about the way the upcoming games will also help the game console spread into foreign markets; the NBA2K Sports game set to be released in early October will be featuring professional basketball teams from Europe for the first time, giving international consumers even more to look forward to.

According to IGN.com, Microsoft will be preparing football gamers for the Xbox One launch by featuring a fantasy football app on the Xbox 360. After the Xbox One is on sale, fans will be able to choose between playing Madden or watching the real thing.

"When the system does launch, the ESPN app will return bigger and better, featuring ESPN.com clips from the web, ESPN3 live broadcasts, and the ability to watch live content from ESPN Prime via WatchESPN," the website says.

Some of the features do require a satellite or cable subscription, depending on the content. Still, the introduction of real television action to the gaming experience gives gamers -- and friends who are not gamers -- the chance to cater to all parties and gives the game console versatility never seen before.
