Fans of "The Fault in Our Stars" and those who have not seen it yet have the chance to add the movie to their collection.
According to DVD Release Date UK, the movie's DVD and Blu-Ray release date for the United States will take place on Sept. 16. Meanwhile, the DVD will hit stores in the U.K. on Nov. 3, just in time for fans to get a copy, or several copies, which they can give to friends as gifts during the holidays.
Those who haven't seen the film can check out the synopsis on IMDb. The main stars of the film were Shailene Woodley in the role of the 16-year old cancer patient Hazel Grace Lancaster, who was forced by her parents to attend a cancer patient support group where she met her future boyfriend, Augustus Waters, played by Ansel Elgort. His character was suffering from osteosarcoma and he had already lost one leg.
The young actor Nat Wolff played the role of Isaac, best friend to Waters. He had a disability too: he was blind. Playing the roles of Hazel Grace Lancaster's parents were Laura Dern (Frannie) and Sam Trammel (Michael). Other stars who had supporting roles were Willem Dafoe (Peter van Houten), Mike Birbiglia (Patrick) and Lotte Verbeek (Lidewij Vliegenthart).
It's a heartwarming story: Gus and Hazel knew that their time on earth was limited, but rather than wallow in self-pity, they decided to live the rest of their lives like normal, healthy people.
"The Fault in Our Stars" is a beautiful story of young love with a twist. It tells the story of two teenagers who are on the brink of death due to cancer when they fall in love with each other. It was a summer blockbuster released in the U.S. on June 6 and in the U.K. on June 20.
The romantic comedy-drama hit the right spot in teenagers' hearts and earned a very good reception from viewers and critics alike, with the average score at IMDb being 8.3/10. The movie was directed by Josh Boone and was based on the novel written by John Green.
