Long-time MTV VJ and radio DJ 11Sway Calloway is transitioning to help create new music as well. The Oakland, California, native has founded the company OverDeliver Entertainment, a new music label and management company.

Calloway partnered with established music executive Kelly Jackson to start OverDeliver. He is currently still hosting "Sway in the Morning" as well as "The Wake Up Show" with King Tech, a former partner when Sway was a rapper, on Eminem's satellite radio channel Shade 45.

Sway, 44, also keeps extremely busy as the face of MTV News and frequently hosts red carpet events for the music television channel, like last Sunday's Video Music Awards.

And Sway didn't waste any time getting the ball rolling quickly. He announced in a statement Tuesday of the company's first signing, G.L.A.M. The fellow Oakland-based singer, rapper and producer goes by the stage name that stands for Good Lyrics And Music. Her new album "The Flaw" is set to be released in October.

"It was important for me to find the right artist to support and introduce to the world," Sway said in the statement. "I believe G.L.A.M. is that artist who will bring value to the game through her music and what she represents."

One of her songs, "4Eva Lonely," is available to stream on Soundcloud.

In a 2012 interview with Source Magazine, Sway discussed how hip-hop and radio intersect.

"You really don't have personalities that have a true voice. When they do get the opportunity to speak, it's always forced," he told Source. "Here, they could come and have a conversation with actual people."

There was no additional information about how many artists OverDeliver Entertainment is working with or if Sway will be aiding in getting them any promotion on his home-turf, MTV.
