The owner and main gunsmith featured on the Discovery Channel show "Sons of Guns" was arrested and charged with raping his 12-year-old daughter. Discovery has cancelled the show following Will Hayden's arrest.

Hayden, 44, was arrested Tuesday night and charged for aggravated rape of a child, and was booked Wednesday. He remains in jail. His arrest came after the alleged victim told authorities that since March 2013, Hayden assaulted her almost daily, according to police documents.

The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office said that the victim reported that she was a virgin when Hayden began raping her when she was just 11-years-old. According to the victim, the "Sons of Guns" star would take her into "his bedroom where the Defendant removed victims clothing and raped her orally and then vaginally."

According to E! News reports that while the abuse continued almost every day, the victim did not initially report the assaults because she received physical threats from Hayden and he reportedly told the girl, "Don't tell them nothing, because I'm all you got."

Initially the suspect was arrested in Louisiana on Aug. 9 and charged with molestation of a juvenile and aggravated crimes against nature. Hayden was released after posting $150,000 bond and the details of that arrest were sealed following a court order. However, Hayden claimed that his ex-girlfriend was making these allegations after their relationship ended.

"Given the serious and horrific nature of the charges against Will Hayden, we have decided to halt further production of 'Sons of Guns' and cancel the series," Discovery Channel told E! News.

Coming to Hayden's defense was his oldest daughter Stephanie, who said: "there was never any impropriety in our home. He was and is a good father."
