On Wednesday, Marvel Entertainment announced its plans to republish "Star Wars Dark Horse" comics under a new collection of paperback books entitled "Star Wars Legends Epic Collection: Volume 1," Comicbook reports.

"We're thrilled to be bringing our innovative Epic Collections to a galaxy far, far away," Marvel SVP sales & marketing David Gabriel said in Marvel's official press release. "We'll be bouncing around to different periods of Star Wars history with each Epic Collection, constructing one huge tapestry, collecting full unbroken runs of all the greatest Star Wars comics from the past 35 years."

Volume 1 of the Legends Epic Collections will delve into the "Star Wars Dark Horse" stories around the period between Episode III and Episode IV, Entertainment Weekly reports.

However, Marvel suggests the idea of republishing additional stories from other "Star Wars" time periods in the future. [EW]

"STAR WARS LEGENDS EPIC COLLECTION: THE EMPIRE VOL. 1 TPB. will offer a new way for fans to collect and read iconic Star Wars stories across the past 35 years of published titles. These oversized, self-contained color collections will bring the adventures of the Rebellion, the Galactic Empire and more to the masses with exciting new Epic Collections," reads Marvel's press release.

No specific date has been set for the release of the Legends Epic collection. However, fans can expect to get their hands on the collection sometime in April 2015.

In other "Star Wars" news, Harrison Ford, who stars in the upcoming "Star Wars Episode VII" movie, has resumed filming this week following a two-month delay in his filming schedule because of his leg injury on set.

E! News reports, "The cast and crew resumed filming this week at Pinewood Studios in the U.K. They had returned from a two-week hiatus unrelated to Ford's accident."

"Star Wars Episode VII" will hit theaters on Dec. 18, 2015. Will you be watching?
