Taylor Swift is gearing up to appear as an adviser to contestants on the upcoming seventh season of NBC's "The Voice," Us Weekly confirms.

"Taylor was an absolute pleasure to work with," an Us Weekly source said. "She had great feedback for all the contestants. She made for an amazing mentor."

Swift first appeared on the hit show during its fourth season where she performed and surprised Season 4 runner-up contestant Michelle Chamuel during her singing rehearsal.

"That was so emotional. All the vocal runs you picked, it was so amazing," Swift told Chamuel during her rehearsal performance on Season 4. "The way you doubled over with your hair in your face and everything, don't stop doing that." [Rolling Stone]

In addition to becoming a new adviser on "The Voice," Taylor Swift has decided to become a pop star.

Earlier this month, Swift announced via a Yahoo! Live stream that she was making the transition from being a country musician to becoming a pop star. Swift later explained to "Good Morning America" that her upcoming "1989" album would be a pop album that she claims is a result of her "sonic evolution."

"I feel like for the last two years there's been sort of a sonic evolution happening and I've been experimenting more and more. And I think you have to follow, just this intuition, this gut feeling," Swift said on "GMA." "As a songwriter, you just write to write a certain kind of music and you don't know why."

Swift then went on to explain the concept behind her song, "Shake it Off."

"I think that for me, writing this song was partly about my life, but it's mostly about the things that I hear from my fans and comments on -- in Instagram, and Facebook and Twitter, and things like that," she said. "We don't live just in a celebrity takedown culture, we live in a takedown culture. ... But I think that you have to, you have to not only live your life in spite of people who don't understand you, you have to have more fun than they do."

Swift's "1989" album will hit stores on Oct. 27. Will you be purchasing the album?
